Steady guidance for the beginning of your caregiving journey.

Rosemary Oak offers 60-minute navigation support for full-time working professionals who suddenly find themselves responsible for an older loved one.

Samantha Scholefield.

Why ‘Rosemary Oak?’

For that moment when a plan is suddenly required.

Rosemary is the herb of remembrance and memory. Oak is the tree of wisdom, strength, and age. Together, rosemary and oak reflect the spirit of my advocacy: grounded, steady, and human, and shaped by my own experience supporting someone with advancing memory loss.

Providing care for an older loved one is not glamorous and can go unrecognized. My goal is to help you find a secure footing and create a manageable framework for your caregiving journey.

Connect with me for a focused conversation that meets you exactly where you are, usually somewhere between “things just got real” and “I cannot do another phone call this week.”

Is this you?

  • You just got named Power of Attorney and have no idea what to do this week.
  • You're navigating your loved one's care between meetings at work, and the bank just sent another letter.
  • You want a one-hour conversation to manage the here and now, not a complex six-month engagement.

After our first call you will have:

  • A clear next step you can act on now.
  • A manageable framework to build for the months ahead.
  • Questions you can ask to help you see the bigger picture.
  • Practical ideas to prepare for the long term.

Does this feel familiar?

  • You have Power of Attorney but have no idea what to do with it.
  • You are trying to manage medications but have no idea what they are or how often they need to be taken.
  • You are spending hours trying to make sense of someone else’s banking and bill payments.
  • You are getting different answers from different people and do not know which direction to trust.
  • You know something needs to be organised, but the information you need and the people you need to contact are not at your fingertips.

Your “Getting Started” checklist helps you take charge of issues like these and more.
